4x4 problems?

When my 91 is in h4 or l4, and I turn the wheel, it turns hard and feels like the way that Iam turning goes down. When I get out and look, it is fine. This is worst in l4. In h4 it only does it when im sitting still and turn the wheel all the way. It does not matter which way I turn it. In h2 it is fine. It has been like that since I got the truck 2 years ago. I was just wondering if anybody has seen this before.

When in 4wd on hard surfaces that give good traction this will happen - binding like jimabena74 said. Avoid using 4wd on good traction surfaces (like pavement!) You will notice the binding feel a little bit on most any surface except mud... Also, remember to drive in a straight line for a few feet to unload any binding before shifting out of 4wd. Makes it all work smoother.
