well if that is the case I need to go to the store cuz they must have sold me a fake one!!

on that note I have noticed how good my wife looks driving my 4 runner....she also has her own motorcycle, but she isn't a husky burly woman......jsut your basic MILF who rides a Ninja 250.

I bought my first toyota pickup(89 xcab 4x4) from a female. she was about 5'2" 90#. she was selling it cuz it was to hard to climb up in it all the time. so traded her the truck for my wifes dodge neon.....which i also think is a chicks car.

I realize this post is old, but the topic has been on my mind lately. As much as I love my 4runner, I can no longer deny that it's known as a chick's vehicle. I can't even remember the last time I saw a guy behind the wheel of a 3rd gen in Portland. My guess is 80% of the 3rd gen 4runner drivers here are female. I've also noticed that an extraordinary number of these vehicles have decorations hanging from the rear view mirror. Weird.

Seems to be here in Dallas (and in San Antonio) that there are alot of chicks driving around in 3rd Gen Limiteds. I see fewer driving the old 1st and 2nd gens. After thinking and noticing more, they seems to be moms that are driving the 3rd gens. Either that or chicks that are getting their parents old 4runner. I knew a few that would be placed in this catagory.

And yes, I think chicks driving them look hot (to an extent). Especially when my girlfriend was driving my 4runner, now taco. She looks even better.

Lightbulb First Love...

My parents first car they ever bought together was a 1985 SR5 4Runner with a 22RE and a 5 Speed. Black with silver accent stripes. Guess who drove it...my 5'3'' 110 lbs mother. That was her rig...never a car...a RIG. My dad had a 70 Buick Skylark, lol. My love for Toyotas came from that Runner.

Around these parts (Puyallup, Wa) There are quite a few Toys. Most of the guys drive the pickups, any year or style, Tacoma or Hilux. The first and second gen Runners are mainly men, but some girls drive them, usually younger ones or older asian ladies. The third and fourth gen are 75% soccer milfs, or younger asian women. I barely see a male driving a newer Runner.

I personally drive an 81 Hilux longbed, but would LOVE to have our 4Runner back...

The "4Runner" is definitely not know as a chicks car. This is the only places I could ever see this being said.

Miata, Jetta, etc, are what I always here people say as a chicks car.

my wife says 1st gen runners are guy rigs, all the other runners are for girls. I did buy my current 89 from a girl, she had had it less than a year and got a new montero(talk about a soccer mom rig) to replace it.

I've never really given it much thought but around here I've noticed on more than a few occasions chicks driving lifted fullsizes with large tires (like huge dodges, chevys, fords, etc). ALL of them are trendy-esc with SKIN or FEAR THIS decals and nerf bars, chrome rims and they're usually blasting rap or some lame band like limp bizkit. Wonder if they're driving their guys truck or if its an image thing.

Sure we see alot of chicks cruising the California beacjes in them from first to fifth gens...It goes like this....get hawaiian seat covers, couple more flowery things, add them in...you have a girls runner. Paint the rims black, get a nice manly color (grey in my case)...make it tough looking...you have a guy's runner...Either way these are tough little trucks and when i see a girl driving a runner, there is always a mutual smile...

K - c'mon guys. Do you really think the girls driving these 4runners actually own them? I think it's more a case of they have some excellent abilities. Being able to "take" the chrome off a trailer hitch orally has some benefits don't you think?

my g/f...

My ex-girlfriend could extract trailerhitch chrome very well and I NEVER let her drive my truck...Its more about an ability to sweet talk, (or in some cases, to belittle, demean and make their husbands feel guilty... ) their way into the drivers seat.
