In my town I can't go anywhere without seeing all 3 gens, and sometimes a 4th gen now too.

Getting ready to go to the dealer for a part, and I am sure I'll see at least 20 or more 4Runners along the way.
It's mainly 2nd gens in my town though, they are everywhere.

I'd say about 60% men, 40% women are driving them here.
The women are mainly driving 2nd & 3rd gens.
Have not seen a women yet driving a 1st gen, at least I don't think I have.

Hmm, around here I see mostly men driving 4Runners, I think. I've seen a lot of girls driving older Toyota pickups though, and if a girl is driving a 4Runner, I think its typicaly a 3rd gen, we have a lot of 2nds and 1sts here too, but I've never seen a 4th.

dajabr, Sorry I couldn't have gotten a reply in sooner but here is what Diamonds are really for (see attached pic).

Try having a wife w/ Diamonds as her birth stone.

Yeah Diamonds may mean dead Africans but people often die in a lot of other industries.

Aha, let's not forget the wonderful side effects of diamonds, they cause an almost magnetic reaction in female legs...

I must admit one reason I bought my 4runner was the owner was a Bolivian grandmother who barely drove it. 89 Bought in 2002 with 109K and in great shape.

Around here

Here in South Carolina I see more females in 3rd gen.'s. If it's a 1st or 2nd gen. though I have yet to see a female in the driver's seat. As for it being a "chick car", I think not. It's actually comfortable, practical, affordable, and dependable, so a lot of people like it -- men and women. I have to say though I do see more men in the 4WD models than women, if I get a glance at the rear of it.

In my area I see a 50/50 shot at a woman driver.

But regardless of the driver 95 percent have the saggy butt syndrome......

Also, I never thought of a jetta as a womens car................

But that darn VW CABRIOLET sure is........

How many of you think thats true???

Talking runners

There are a few chicks driving them here but i don't mind...as long ass they're hot. The first owner of my 4runner was a chick, but it was to big for her (she now drives a hyundai accent).

Oh man, have you seen the roads in Bolivia? They suck!

All 'Runners all the time around here. Mostly 2nd-3rd Gens but more 1st Gens than you'd think. Around 60% male and most of them do seem to drive SR5's.

At least the Limited gals aren't like the typical female occupant of a minivan (obese bleached blonde eating and talking on phone). I read recently that Oregon is the "fattest" state in the US. I believe it, and drive cautiously around fast food row.

I don't own a 4Runner, but I believe that the 4Runner chick cars are the "pure pavement pounders" that I see out there on the roads. These are certainly the soccer mom 4Runner "minivans" out there. Heck my sister bought a Nissan Xterra because everyone else has an SUV. She wanted a 4Runner, but could only afford the Xterra. At least she didn't bring shame upon a 4Runner by using it as a minivan.

I have noticed that: A majority of the Limited 4Runners are driven by soccer moms, and a majority of the SR5's are driven by men. Anyone else notice this??
LoL, nice icon SLC. "Doouble DUUUECE!!!!"

Well, I don't think the 4Runner is considered a chick car, but maybe it's an "undercover" chick car It's for the guys, but chicks like it too, so they get em as well

Maybe it's just my sample pool that I have to deal with over here. I'm among the soccer moms and yuppies who drive Escalades, Excursions, Expeditions, Suburbans, G Classes, etc. Although I noticed that about half of the 4Runners on campus are female driven as well

It's funny that when ever my wife drives my 4Runner she will almost always have someone stop to tell her they like it. When ever I drive it I usually will just catch someone checking it out after I walk away but they won't say anything to me.

Am I the only one that thinks guys shouldn't drive the new VW Beetles/bugs. I saw one that was heavily modded, but the guy still looked out of place. ( a nice way to say it). Any one agree?

I don't think a guy belongs in any car that has a flower vase mounted to the console.

But hey, that's only my opinion.

yeah, around here in so cal, i notice a lot of women in 4runners. whatever, i don't care. and like others were saying, when it's an sr5 and/or 4wd, it's more often that not a guy driving.

and i agree about the jetta thing. that's definitely a chick car, as is the new bug (but that one is exclusively for girls). i heard this jetta theory once: 95% of those driving jettas are girls, and 95% of those girls are hot. based on my scientific observations, this hypothesis is correct.

Around here I have yet to meet another 4Runner fanatic. I have seen some kick ace older pickups but only a few nice 4Runners. Nearly Every Runner I see on the road is driven by a chick or an old, rich fart (mostly 3rd gens). Guys mostly drive the pickups or 1st gen. Runners. More people In OK need to open their eyes and realize how awesome Yotas are and ditch their redneck rust buckets.
