4runner bilteins shocks tips needed

Hello to all, I'm a Hilux Surf owner from south america. I'll be in LA next week and will like to buy a set of Bilstein shocks for my SUV. I've researched enough to know that the US 4runner and the JDM Surf share the same shocks, so no problems there. The thing is I'm not sure where in LA can I find them. I'll look for an autozone and an o'reilly store which are supposed to carry Bilstein Shocks. Does any know any other store where I can get them? Thanks. Here's a pic of last weekend trip.

Heyo, go to a specialist like 4WheelParts or Off-Road Warehouse so you can be sure to get the right stuff, and phone ahead to check stock so you're assured the right parts are in stock or nearby.

Do you know which product you want to purchase?
I ask because when I searched on Bilsteins site I got all the Oreilly and Autozone responses also. Switch the category to "off road" and you will get some off road type shops including 4wheel parts as suggested by SharpStick. My bet is that Oreilly/Autozone will only have the Blue/Yellow shocks. If that's what you want, great. But if you want 5100s or 5125s you might want one of the off road shops. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

thanks for the tips! I actually had 4wheelparts in my itinerary. I'm calling those guys today. As for the parts per se, which are the main advantages of the 5100s or 5125s. I do light offroading, more mudding than anything else, but I travel a lot through very rough country roads.

FYI, I have stock suspension, and I'm not planning lifting it any time soon.

careful when you talk to them, they are being called "4wheelcraps" for a reason.

i'm wondering what would be the reason you didn't you call Bilstein? find the right part # then shop around.

I have the part numbers from Bilstein for the HD ones. I've called around and the only ones who carry them in stock are Aggressive suspension, but they are 30 U$ more expensive. I'll keep looking. Thanks all

Wouldn't recommend Bils unless they were from Sonoran Steel, since they're made specifically for 3rd gens from Bilstein. I believe they're in So Cal, so you should call and talk to them. They're very knowledgeable when it comes to 3rd gens.
