Its head was almost at the driver's side headlight, the shoulder was right at my liscense plate and the hind quarters were right at the corner of the bumper and passenger fender. It felt like hitting a soft brick wall and as soon as i hit it, it got knocked down on the ground and i slide on it with my front tires for probably 20 secondsg before i slowed down enough to get traction with my wheels to turn and get off of it. Some how there wasn't any blood though. it was definetly dead though lol.
lol wow 150-200 lbs is still a good size deer to hit at 65 lol. That would have been pretty cool to watch if i was coming the other way in traffic in the day time.

You could only wish! Gotta give goat some credit for ingenuity though. I like his setup from the engine (read about his engine build up thread) all the way to the bumper.

Better yet, buy the 17 yourself then either build around it or pay a custom fabricator do it for you.

The only thing that ran through my mind was, "please don't let my airbags deploy." They didn't thank god. I talked to my brother in law cause they smoked on a month or two ago in their Infiniti G20. He said he thought the exact same thing.

my truck didn't have any air bags so i didn't have to worry about that lol. Now if i was about to hit an elk or a moose or a cow, i'd definetly want some air bags!

Luckily my insurance company gives a free pass on deer hits and she left hair sticking out all kinds of places. She kept going so I couldn't get her tag number.

Scared the living s*** out of me when I saw that face plastered to my glass six inches from my head.
Almost exact same situation for me. I was in the passenger seat of a car my bud was driving and at the home stretch of a 3-4 hr trip to Vermont (Rt. 4 in Killington), we were both pretty tired. We were a few car lengths behind the guy in front of us and there was some jackass practically tailgating us.
Same exact scenario, this freakin deer comes barreling full trot out of the woods straight across the road right at our drivers side window. My buddy swerves to the right just enough to avoid the collision and how we didn't spin that little chevy Z24 off the road is beyond me. All this happened in the blink of an eye.
That bugger was running so fast it slipped between us and the people tailgating us (we were moving at about 60mph).
If we were in an SUV it would have rolled for sure.
On another trip from Denver to Stemaboat, if we didn't see 100 deer on or near the road, we didn't see a single one.
