4cyl Tach in a 6 cyl truck?

Hello,

If you put a tachometer from a 4 cylinder truck into a 6 cylinder truck is there a switch or chip that will correct the RPM levels? It revs like I'm driving an F1 car!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Some tachs have a switch on the back to choose the # of cylinders. Not sure if the OEM ones do.

If we're talking OEM tachs and Tacomas - the answer is 'No'.
