4.3 Conversion
Well because of my motor going underwater, and I have been lucky enough to find(get) a 91 blazer with a 4.3 tbi motor for a wopping $500. I get everything for that price. So all I will have to get is a different computer. I want to retain my manual transmission. I should start the whole project this coming weekend. I am so excited.

I'm not sure what you will need. But for what it's worth my friend has a S-10 with that motor. It has 150,000 miles on it and runs strong. Much more power than the 3.0, especially if you're going to push 35s. The parts are easy to come by and they're cheap and easy to work on.

I know I've seen several 4.3 swap items in Northwest Offroad's catalog. Just be warned, their reputation is not very good. You also might check some of the hotrodding catalogs. Good luck and take pics. Lots of us 2nd genners are getting up in miles and need some options.

I've had two 4.3's before my Yota. A 91 with 189K running strong (sold it), and a 93 with 154k sold to a buddy running strong. If the oil has been changed she will go. I do miss that 4.3 power, but I don't miss the old GM oil leaks. It all depends on how well the maintained it. Good luck
