3rdGen Slider Build-up :)

So I got off my but and aquired all of the materials required to build my sliders. So I went to my local Friend and trusted 4x4 shop Jeepers Den in Orlando FL, and went to building. I will keep you updated, today we were able to get them built. Tomorrow then end caps will be made and welded on as well as a coating of HotSpray bedliner shot on them and hopefully by Tuesday the will be welded on the truck.

:big2:

You should get a bung welded onto each of them so you can use them for air storage later. To add to the capacity and if they had a huge arse drill bit you could get themto drill a hole at each support tube to utilize the support tubes as well since they are so big. Just a thought

Though now that I think about it, you could always add it on later when you get an air setup... Lookin good!

The square tubing I am inclined to say was 2"X3" and the round tube I cant remember, I believe the diameter was about 1.5" you can see my finger in the picture and make a judgment, I will howerever get a measurement for you.

Thanks

Those look pretty beefy! You should never wish you made them stronger.

Very nice work.

I want to say its the angle of the shot, but your right from that picture they do look way shorter than what they are supposed to be. But to keep you mind at rest they are the proper length I think they should be and will post some action shots shortly. Well soon being as oon as I get them welded on and can put them to use in FL. Acctually now that I think about it Im going to have to find something to drive on,,,,, maybe over the front of a civic.

Aaron,
Hope you kept the plans for those handy as I will be needing a pair too! Looking good bro! What did it cost you for the whole setup?
