3rd gen roll bar

is it possible to bolt the roll bar from a 1st gen into the back of a 3rd gen. Well, i;m sure its possible, but would it fit is my question. I found a pic of it done to a second gen. So i figured it might be a cool and unique addition to my 97. the thing is that i dont know anybody with a first gen so i can measure it up.

Thats a great idea, it would probably need a little bit of cutting here and there of the roll bar.

i figured it would need a little trimming to make it fit just right. I was wondering if anybody with a 1st gen could measure how wide and tall it is. Thats the problem i was having, was finding one to measure

Why would it only be cosmetic? It must add a little protection in a roll.

Now I wish I had done it.
If I had it in there first, I could have hung my Power Tank & fire bottle on it, and built the cargobox to fit in between it.

Cargobox could have been a little wider then.

Why would it be any less functional than it was when it was in the first gen truck? I would think it would offer MORE protection because of the strength of the 3rd gens hard top.

anyways, here's mine.

I dont have updated pics yet, this was just fitment. oh yea, its not painted in this pic either
