3rd Gen interior tailgate panel removal?

Does anyone know how one goes about removing the interior panel on the liftgate/tailgate? My 1998 4runner doesn't have any screws or pop-it pieces around the perimeter of the plastic panel, so I'm hesitant on just grabbing a corner and prying it off. Anyone have a better idea of how to get that thing off?

thanks!

I've done it, just not recently. If I remember correctly, it just pops off. Put the window all the way down, and I think you can pull off the top trim. Look down inside the door panel and see what you can see.

Search for panel removal. I would go find the directions, but I would have to search for something I already know.

Can you access the place where the window goes when it rolls down by removing this panel? There's some crap in there that's scratcing the glass in one spot pretty badly.
