will a 3" suspension lift from toytec and a 1" body lift be enough???

I have that set-up and I'm running 285's. Plenty of clearance, w/ no rubbing issues. But I'm sure with 315's it would be a different story...

 

Lets just say that I have a 6" suspension lift and 2" body lift and I still had to trim my fenders. This is because the circumference of the tire is actually larger than the bottom opening of the wheel well.

It only takes an hour and as long as you take your time, you can't even notice there is anything trimmed.

I bought my angle grinder from sears for $25. The cut off wheels are like $1.50 each.

 

so you're not really trimming the fender exterior sheet metal, just the stuff inside the fender well? I'd be nervous about cutting up my baby.

 

Yeah just the inner fender not the actuall fender

 

I cut my actual fenders too... I hit a whoop at 45 and the tire went up and annihilated the fender so i just cut it off

 

I have lots of lift (don't actually know how much), and I'm looking to trim my front fenders. Of course, on the trial I run 37" MT/Rs. On the Street I'm running 35" BFG/AT tires. The best thing to do is research and trim those fenders before your tires do, as SC4Runner has experienced.

 

Yeah no way to do 35's without trimming! But as these guys said you can do it clean and nice - and it'll be worth it!

 

Actual fender trimming is necessary.

With the flares it's not really noticeable though.

 

This thread needs before and after pics... I'm not getting it.
