3.4L weight?

I wanted to start a new thread for this...

Anyone know appx how much the 3.4L weighs? I found one in Canada with like 40,000 kilometers on it with everything I need and they only want $1450 american...so I'm thinking about getting it shipped.

Thanks!

Jason

Have you asked at a dealership? I'm guessing here, but I dont see where the difference could be significant. I would think they would be close in weight. Do it man..... do it. Oh, and do a detailed write-up w/ tons of pics. Post it in the tech section. Become a cult hero here. Come to the U.P. and do one for me. Its all good.

with everything (intake to exhaust manifolds with accessories ) its about 500lbs. maybe just slightly heavier, but im very very close. all i can say about having an engine shipped that you cant look over first is get a "purchase price plus all shippig costs" back gaurantee. yes, thats a good buy, and if its as advertised they shouldnt have a problem giving you extra piece of mind.

I will be doing the swap in August probably. I am getting married in about a month and have to much wedding stuff to do right now. I'm trying to get everything that I will need rounded up so that when I go to do it I'm not waiting on anyting.

I am going to take lots of pictures and document everything. My friend is going to host the info for me on his site. I will also make it available in the tech section.

Thanks for the info on the weights...
