3.4L missfires sometimes???
Im confused. Trucks been tuned, wires, correct plugs, fuel filter, air cleaner, Maf cleaned, PVC..etc.
About a couple months ago it developed this miss thing, sometimes barley, sometimes bad, sometimes not at all. Alot of the time it just feels like its on the virg of running crappy...almost like its not gettig enough fuel.
Heres the kicker, when its bad, I can shut it down 1 or 2 times, restart and it it will be OK again.
It did turn on the check engine light once but I have no means to read codes.
Does anyone know WTF is goin on cause I dont

Not sure on the cause, but when I got a CE light on my 2001 3.4 i just bought the $35 code reader from harbor freight and it lead me to a misfire due to the fact the factory plugs had 54K miles on them because the original owner didn't change them at 30K. BTW, autozone will pull your code for free.

It also wouldn't hurt to run a can of SeaFoam through the engine - that would help flush out injector issues without having to pull the injector.

Yeah, thats what I got but mine was fixed by the plug and wires. Since you've already done that I guess thats an option or the coil pack going bad. I don't know if the coil pack would malfunction or just fail.

You might want to pull the #3 plug and recheck it because sometimes they can be damaged during install or perhaps before. If the plug is still fine, then I would test the coil and replace if needed.

Problem solved/ pulled #3 plug and the porcelin(by where it sparks) had 2 hairline cracks oppsite of eachother going all the up. These are NGK (not cheap) dual electrode plugs BTW.
New plug, back to normal
