3.4L Engine Storage
#1
Hi, going to have to store my 3.4L 5VZ for a little while (couple of months) while I am working on other things. What should I do in order to ensure no corrosion wear on the engine?
Thanks for any input,
Marge

If just a few months the only thing I'd do is add fuel stablizer to the tank and run it long enough to mix it up and get it into the system. The last time you run it before storage its a good idea to stop the engine while it's hot.
If you're talking a year I'd fog the cylinders if you can't run it every month or so.

It is basicly an oil that coats the cylinders to protect them from rusting.
