Most 4 banger DOHC motors are belt driven and will blow up if that belt breaks. I changed the TB in my modded turbo Eclipse every 45k just to be safe.

If you want proof of the 3.4 being non-interference then just search this site and you'll see that there is nothing on a 3.4 motor blowing up because of TB or water pumps failing and this site has been around for 7 years now so most common problems have been documented with Toyota trucks.

Kinda the same story here in fort collins. My battery melted down in the middle of the night in an intersection, and i had six drunk college students come out of no where and help me push it to a side road. And then they left before I could even thank them. College towns are pretty cool.
