3.4 Manual Trans Water pump

I'm getting ready to do my timing/water pump etc. Do I need the water pump with the outlet tube or without it? Doesn't it go to the transmission cooler--which I don't have?

I planning to do my timing belt in the next 2 weeks. I believe the outlet tube you are referring to goes to the engine oil cooler mounted on the drivers side of the engine block. Those with automatic transmissions has the trans cooler connections on the bottom of the radiator.

No, it goes to an engine oil cooler on the block. The auto transmission fluid cooler is inside the radiator.

My 5-speed has the outlet tube on the WP. You should be able to see the cooler about two feet to the rear of the oil filter on the driver's side of the block. Look from underneath. It looks like this:
