I don't understand it. I've been seeing more and more late model toyotas losing pumps. I've done a few 5.7 tundra pumps in the last year.

I would think it might be the ethanol in the gas taking out the seals in the pumps.

It seems to be more of a flow problem then electrical.

then with the price of gas i see lots of people keep there tank between 1/8 and fumes

I've seen more 90-95 models go bad versus 95+ ,its mostly the 3 veeezeees check valves and only a handful 4 bangers 90-95 of course there older but only a few around my model but , they don't get brought to me everyday either so..who am I to say which ones are worse. Q what's the easiest poss way I could make concoction to see what its doin while under a load ? ALSO what model of outer door handles will fit on my 2002 ? Broke mine this morning in the rain gotta love it

We're seeing a good mix of flex fuel and non flex fuel trucks killing pumps. I was just mentioning the tundra because that's the one I've seen fail the most, but in the last year I've seen more Toyota fuel pump failures than ever before. We've see camrys, corollas, older tacomas, and even a T100 like mine.

Really. I've not had many hands on but a handful of tundras so I'll take your word for it but you have any ideas about the door handle interchangeables cause I know of a couple of diff models trucks I could get one from but I will NEVER find one that's the same color cause Toyota didn't even have paint for it lol also any idea of how to check pressures on The fly

Like I said, your gonna have to t into the system with a fuel pressure gauge. I think the easiest place would be the coupling between the soft line and the hard line on the drivers inner fender right below the brake master cylinder.

This is a 3.4 tundra, but the coupling should be the same. I circled it I red.
