3.4 Evap removal question.

Okay so im nearing the end of my 3.4 swap and ive wondered is there a plus to keeping it? Is it strictly there for emission control? What would be the negative to removing it? Where i live you only ever need one emission test and thats when you buy and insure the vehicle and since im past that point i no longer need it. So on top of the ISR mod i was wondering if i could bypass or remove the evap system?Any thoughts?

it pulls the vapors from your gas tank to help squeeze out a little more mileage and keeps the gas tank pressure regulated. Don't skimp out, do it right. If you don't want the use the 3.4 canister you can use the 3.0 canister but you still need to run the needed vsv's to keep the CEL off.

Okay so it is important. I just wanted to know if it really served a function or was useless like intake silencers.
