3.0 part, can you identify this hose?
I have a rigged hose of some sort that is whistling and coming apart. Right now it is made out of some copper tubing and hose insulators, but I know that isn't what is supposed to be there. Like I said there is air passing through it so it's vacuum related? I dunno ..... here's a pic of what I am talking about. Any help would be great.

I'll go out and look at mine after work and trace where it's going if nobody can answer this. I also have the shop manual at home and can scan the pages with this vacuum routing stuff if you need it. As I recall it's a large diameter vacuum line that runs to the PCV valve but I've not had my intake off in about 2 years. If it's a line that comes out and does an immediate U-turn and goes under the manifold, that's what it most likely is because the PCV valve is directly under the manifold on that side.

Its tuff to tell but it looks to me like some one pulled the hose off the PCV valve and simply pushed it over the stud holding the EGR on. I will go get a pic.

Ganoid .... you showed me what I needed to see, THANK YOU. I still don't understand why one would rig it in such a way (shrug). Thanks to all who gave input, much appreciated!
