Thanks

Katzkin

I replaced my factory cloth with leather this spring. The manufacture is Katzkin out of CA. Their website is: http://www.katzkin.com/SITE/HTML/index.html you can contact them to find a local distributor. I opted for one of the kits that included front, rears and door panels. They have a great selection of color and nice quality.

Did you do the LSTO02 Kit? How much was this? How hard was the installation? Inquiring minds want to know...

yes....2nd gens were available with stock grey leather.....

on another note.....isnt it just remarkable of how much more quality the leather is on foreign cars......especially toyotas......the leather in mine is still very soft......my mom has a 98 expedition with leather and hers is as hard as a rock.....just thought i would throw that in..

well speaking of leather, do any of you guys with the factory toyota leather live in extreme heat ( like excess 100 degrees) have any problems with the leather deteriorating or anything? And will the leather get messeed up and crack or something if its been in the heat for a while, then gets the a/c blasted on it cooling it really quick?

I have Classic Soft Trim leather in mine and temps here are over 110 degress. I've had the leather for a couple of years and no probs so far. Not sure how the factory leather holds up.

That looks good! I like the built in Massager. I'd have to get a set of those. Dang only if I was going to keep my rig. I need to find my new rig soon. Where are you!!!

katzkins

I had the local distributor do the install--for fronts, rears and door panels they charged $1,095 installed. I presume about $5-600 for the kit and the rest was labor. My manual transmission shift boot was in bad shape with tears--they fabbed one, matching my interior for $50, whereas the stealership wanted over $95 for stock colors. Lots of choices on colors, and I was free to make any combination...I went with graphite and dark blue.
