2nd Gen ADD Sensor Help ?
When putting the finishing touches on my front lift last night I noticed that the wire connecting the sensor on the front differential (I assume it is a sensor) wasn't connected and the other end of the wire coming from the wiring harness has the connector missing.
I'm not sure how these wires need to be connected:
- the 2 wires comming from the wiring harness are pink and green.
- the 2 wires going into the front differntial are green, one has a white stripe the other a yellow stripe.
Any wiring advice would be greatly apreciated.
Does any one know what this sensor does and if it needs to be conected for 4WD to engage? I hear a noise when shifting to 4WD but no light comes on.
Thanks,
Rob

The sensor only switches on the 4WD light, your front diff will still be connected without it. And the wiring shouldn't matter, it's a simple switch. One wire goes in and the other is out, when in 4WD the switch closes and turns the light on.

Mine doesn't work right now since I pulled the ADD junk...

EDIT: no I did not tie the wires together.
