2nd Gen ADD Sensor Help ?

When putting the finishing touches on my front lift last night I noticed that the wire connecting the sensor on the front differential (I assume it is a sensor) wasn't connected and the other end of the wire coming from the wiring harness has the connector missing.

I'm not sure how these wires need to be connected:
- the 2 wires comming from the wiring harness are pink and green.
- the 2 wires going into the front differntial are green, one has a white stripe the other a yellow stripe.

Any wiring advice would be greatly apreciated.

Does any one know what this sensor does and if it needs to be conected for 4WD to engage? I hear a noise when shifting to 4WD but no light comes on.

Thanks,

Rob

I cant help you with the wiring part, but mine came unplugged somehow and my light wouldnt come on. It still engaged into 4wd. So that should still work. Just put into 4low and theres no way you cant tell.

The sensor only switches on the 4WD light, your front diff will still be connected without it. And the wiring shouldn't matter, it's a simple switch. One wire goes in and the other is out, when in 4WD the switch closes and turns the light on.

As part of the ADD defeat mod, it says to trace those wires up, and just splice them together, and the 4wd light will work as normal.

Did you swap axle tubes, or just do the defeat mod in the 4x4wire tech? Did you tie the wires together like suggested above?

I just defeated it for the mean time when I did my engine swap. I am looking for a non-ADD 4.56 ratio front third from a truck to put in the front to go along with a 4.56 ratio rear E-locker!

EDIT: no I did not tie the wires together.
