231 mm Brake Upgrade PROBLEM on 01 Taco
Ran into a problem upgrading my 2001 Toyota Tacoma dbl cab to the 231 mm Tundra Brakes. The Tacoma uses a banjo fitting, which as I read through the many write-ups didn't see any mention of. In fact one writeup on t4r.org showed the 231mm install with the banjo fitting.
In either case, I am kinda stuck on what to do and wanted to see what others have done. Don't want to have to put back together and double work, so without a vehicle till I figure this out.
This is the old caliper
This is the bolt for the banjo fitting;
This the the new caliper, which generally uses a hardline fitting;
Any suggestions?

My initial thought would be to purchase a set of '96-'02 4Runner hardlines - the short section of brake line attached to the hub upright. That should solve your issue.

Seems like a seen a thread saying the person upgrading his brakes drilled out the hardline fitting just enough to allow the banjo fitting to seat in the caliper. Just a thought.
