22r exhaust stud ?

does anybody know if any of the exhaust manifold studs go into a water jacket, I'm asking this because i am going to replace my manifold gasket and if a nut were to get stuck on one if the studs and unscrew it from the head i want to know if water will be present, thanks

loosen nuts and bolts holding manifold onto cylinder head work from the outside inward in a circle.

i have an 89 that i just did the exhaust manifold and gasket... just remove the bolts and nuts.. and then remove the studs.. i found the old double nut method to be very effective... and personally when ya put em back on.. i would but new ones mostly because new stubs will be straight with no warpage from being a part of the exhaust system.. if i remember right they cost about 1.50 each.. and that will keep you from having miss torquing and causing you another leak..

rock on,
matt
