22r buildup ?'s

Hey everyone, i just wanna know if there is a website or something that has a good writeup on building a new 22r from block up and getting a good amount of power out of it. All i have found are single articles about cams and stuff like that. but i want a WHOLE writeup if possible. ie. about boring out the block, good or bad pistons, which crankshaft. bla bla bla. thanks a lot

Why, I once saw a 22RE built up so much that it actually made gas while you drove it. They bored it out so far the cylinder sleeves were outside the block. They used shower nozzles for fuel injectors. They used Pratt & Whitney turbines for turbochargers, and they used a Cray supercomputer to control the mix. It was so efficient that it would make 2300 horsepower and run for days on one quart of regular gas.... Okay, so I'm in a good mood, or maybe I've had enough beer....

Have you checked out LC Engineering? Great stuff there. Especially if your credit cards have plenty of room on em...

Have you thought about going to a 22RE, that will give you a lot more power than a 22r...

ah no. go to engnbldr.com and buy his parts.

a 22RE might give you more power over stock(100 vs 115) but a 22R can be built for power more easily...

I just recently built my 22r.... bout 3k on it so far. It smokes my 22re, and my 22re is built too. Either engine is good and can be made to produce power, in the end it's still a 4 cylinder. My 22r can take my wifes 5vz-fe 3.4L off the line and well past 60 mph before she catches me. It's quick enough, and I was aiming for lots of torque when I built it.
