2005 Tacoma Rollout Date Announced

Check out Laurel Toyota in MD. They are also a Carmax shop. They sell new Toy's at ~$250 over KBB, with no haggle. I drove from NC to MD to buy my '02 Sport. Great experience, rent a car up, drive home with a big smile and no pounding headache from hours of haggling.

I dont think i like it yet, looks to much like the new dodge trucks to me, that blue one is almost the same color and everything. it takes a while for me to like change though. i hated the new 4runners till i saw one lifted with nice tires on it. maybe it'll grow on me.
#24
I'm with you on the new change is bad, which is why I want to get mine, slap a supercharger on it, the nice exhaust system, maybe some 20" rims, low profile tires, and like a 2" drop or air bags suspension (I hope I'm using the right words on that last one LOL). I don't want a low rider, but I'm positive I want to loose the heavy stock rims, have a throaty exhaust, throw in 2 or 3 12s in a custom fiberglass box in the back. Of course it's gonna cost me a small fortune to pay some shop to figure out a way to shoe horn my $700 Kenwood into that sweet Toyota Dash.
I have a couple of old school ideas, that should be pretty sweet, but we'll see.

Well, because X-Runner is delayed for at least a few months I changed my order. Instead, I'm getting a D-Cab V-6 4X4 TRD Sport Package Long Bed 6M/T, whew long model name. I like this Blue, but think I'll go for a Black Sand Pearl instead. I still can't get over the 141" wheelbase, a ½" longer than a D-Cab Tundra!

You know I think I'm going to have to go with the Black X-Runner too. It really bothers me that they don't color match every little thing on the red and the blue. I could have sworn they did that on the S-Runner Red truck I saw.
Has anyone seen any Toyota pics from the Paris Auto Show.

Then I got production numbers for each model within the Tacoma series and saw that the one I switched to will be the second shortest supply next to X-Runner. IMHO, I think that model will be the second hottest Taco unless the '05 Tundra incentives create price overlap later in the MY. So, the plan is to resell next July, before the bigger Tundra incentives make one cheaper than a Taco during August.

Well guys/gals I had to bite the bullet and go with another vehicle. As painful as it was, I'm pretty please with my choice because i can see that I'll be doing a lot of work to this new truck. A lot of little hope ups to the engine and a few different things.
The deal was, I had a 2003 Frontier XE and the payments were killing us. I ended up about owing $19,000 on that stupid loan. So I went to the Nissan dealer because they had all these cash backs advertised in the paper and they told that no mater what they couldn't help me. But you know, this was the same guy that I originally bought the truck from. So he was real straight with me and told me that I'd be better off going to a domestic dealer if I wanted to get my payments down.
So I went down the street to another dealer and they hooked me up. I trade in the truck, which they gave me $10,000 for cause it had a big dent in the rear quater panel. BIG DENT
And I traded in one of my motorcyles, a 2002 Yamaha FZ1 1000cc. Check it www.fasterthanyours.com Soon to be holding pictures of my new truck and my wifes car. They gave me $5,500 for the bike, which is what I was trying to sell it for and all that went towards the truck. BTW took it up to 155MPH on the way to the dealer for trade in last night
I love bikes. I still own the Blue one on the web page too.
So now to the point...The fiance company gave me $3,500 cash back, the dealer gave me $1,500 and they also gave me $1,000 worth of coupons. So I went from making a $375 payment on the Frontier to making a $279 payment on my new truck.
I now own a nice White 2004 Chevy Colorado. Not the X-Runner I wanted, but it's a nice truck in it's own right. It does have the 4 door access cab, which btw is really cool! There's no back seat in the model I bought, but I don't need it, we've got a family car. I'm going to get a Line-X liner for it, so new rims and tires when the existing tires wear out. The stock 15" rims look stupid. I figured at least 17" if not 18 or 19" flat black rims. If I go 17" I'll just get regular tires, but the 18" or 19" will be low profiles. It's got a 20 gallon gas tank and seems to get really good gas mileage so far. I used to watch gage in the Frontier go down on the trip to work. I havent' seen the gage move yet.
The engine is an inline 4 with 175HP. I'll tell it's surprising how strong that little motor is. It ran up to 90 MPH this morning really quick. I did get the 5 Speed Manual and the transmission is a dream. It's like driving an automatic, because of how smooth the trasmission shifts. I could beleive it. When I tested drove it I was listening to the truck and talking with the salesman and before long I didn't even realize I was actually shifting. I told the saleman, dude, listen...Do you hear that, there's no jerky motion in the tranny! My Frontier was horrible about that. Maybe I had a lemon?
But I'm looking forward to replacing the stereo with my Kenwood and putting a few 12" subs in the back and replacing/upgrading the stocks speakers and adding in some tweeters. I'm kind of getting into this whole Sirius Radio thing because of Howard Stern and I found out the Kenwood makes a reciever that's pretty cheap on Ebay, so I might have look into getting that too.
I also want to do some engine upgrades, maybe a cold air intake and on down the road some kind of a Turbo Kit. I guess you can get turbos for Inline 4s? Don't know? I'll replace all the plugs and upgrade the wires and maybe the ignition system and do some remappings on the engine, maybe I can get it close to 200HP without the Turbo for cheap.
Does anyone know of any good Chevy Sites? Or for that matter Colorado Sites?
So at any rate, I will live my X-Runner dreams through you fine people, so keep me informed and have fun.
