Quick Question - 3rd member

Does anybody know what the gear ratio for my rear differential is? I have a 1999 4runner "Highlander" auto, e-locker v6 4wd. I have looked at everything I could find on this board, ja's site, schafers site etc... and have conflicting anwsers - 4.30 and 4.10. Anybody with my same rig know for sure?? Thanks.

I went through the same thing, and I even got conflicting info from the experts. It all came down to testing it myself, which is really easy. Jack up the rig from the rear diff, put it in N, mark the diff where the shaft flange is and mark the flange itself, then spin the wheel (2X?) and count the number of times the mark goes around. White-out works really well BTW.

Stock my rig was 4.10 (I knew that from the original sticker) so I swapped in 4.30's from an e-locked Auto 96. The question was my donor rig, luckily I checked it!
