2004 Tacoma won't move
I have a 2004 Tacoma 2WD Regular Cab (non pre-runner) 2.4L with about 130,000 miles. The transmission was giving me intermittent issues where it would take a lot of throttle to get her to move. It also had a clunky downshift.
Fast forward to today, I took the transmission out of a low mileage 2001 Tacoma from a salvage yard and installed it on my truck. I put her in a gear and she did not move at all. I checked the fluid level and I'm past the high mark. Do I need to do something special to fill the torque converter? Is there something I'm missing here?
