2003 Diversity antenna

Is the diversity antenna powered or amplified somehow? Any fuse? Just curious.

I know the antenna is on both rear windows and that the radio or a module somehow (not sure which one) chooses which signal is strongest.

How does the antenna work with aftermarket radios?

It's only for the factory radio. The factory radio has a spot for TWO antenna's on it.

Now, if you get a good aftermarket deck, chances are it will have a MUCH better tuner in it than the factory deck, so you won't need that 2nd antenna.

My Alpine gets better reception than the stock deck that used two antenna's.
