I have grey cladding...the reason i wanted to see underneath is because originally i wanted to have split pipes put out the rear, but was told there wasnt enough room with the spare tire there to get to the drivers side with a pipe...but if i could see how the borla is installed, i was gonna show the guy who told me this and have him try it...thanks a lot

The pipes are SWEET! I noticed yesterday that I also have the Borla intake system as well as the exhaust. I hand washed the rig last evening, the gray cladding is great, no streaks, runs or spots!

I'm not sure about the relationship between the octane rating and the sulfur content though- I'm not disagreeing with you, but I just don't know if there is a direct relationship. In general, the higher octane gas is a waste of money, IMO, unless you've got a supercharger of course, then the high octane appears to be a necessity.

I've noticed that the sulfur smell on my 4Runner has almost vanished since I started running Mobil 93, still a slight smell but nothin that gives me headaches like the one I got.
Also I noticed the other day when my friend gunned his 2002 Explorer in my driveway that it smelled like the 4Runners sulfur smell, we only realize it cause we can put the rear window down, and I've noticed the smell on other new cars "ULEV, LEV" that have the smell but never really thought twice about it till the 4Runner.
My 2003 ES300 has the sulfur smell.
Premium or High Octane whatever you call it is not a waste of money, the problem is most people are running the wrong grade, the ones who need it fool themselves into thinking they don't cause their cars don't ping but that is modern day ECU reprogaming the timing to adjust the knock sensor, my friends mothers Maxima is run on 87 but both my friends who run their 2002 on 93 have so much more punch.
Kids running ricers on 93 is a good laugh and then grandma pulls in with an SC Regal and has 87 put in the tank

BT17R- good post, I didn't know that. EDGE, what I'm saying is that unless the manufacturer recommends high octane, the average driver is not going to realize any significant performance increases relative to the amount of money he/she is going to spend on gas. Just my .02's

Sac State:
How does the borla exhaust sound? Throaty? I may look into getting it, but i want to make sure it sounds good. I have a magnaflow muffler now and it is nice and throaty, sounds like a V8 should. I guess i could ask,...how much louder than stock? significant? Thanks for the info
