Ok fellas. I've attached 3 pics. One is of course without the light trim and one left the way it came (chrome) and the other I wrapped in black tape to see what it would look like. To have it powder coated would cost $30. Any thoughts on what looks better? I'm leaning towards the powder coat. It will look better than the black tape because it would be a high gloss to match the color of the truck....

Black seems to be a no brainer on your truck. The chrome doesn't look as bad as I thought it would though.

Nate08: I personally don't like alot of chrome. Too much chrome makes it 'street queen' IMO.
Whats next? Fins and fender skirts? What ever floats your boat right? Thats why they call it customizing!

Well...looks like I'll be painting these after all instead of powder coating. I thought they were metal, but when I took them in to be powder coated, they told me they were plastic. Damn....looked and felt like metal to me They should still look good...

Hmm, I remember when Ron had his 4Runner, he had them done in black pearl. Wonder how they did that.

He probably just painted them since you can't powder coat plastic. It would melt in the process

It would be a good idea to post up the pics. If it really does look nice it might be a worthwhile archive. I can keep an eye out for the trim package on my trips to the 'yards'. Doing the chrome trim package in black pearl would look way kewl!
