2000 4runner check engine light

I have a 2000 4 runner that the check engine light is on and will not go away. I had it serviced by a certified tech, and the code was for “air flow meter”. He replaced the air flow meter but the light returned after about 15 miles of driving. Is there some information about this or some advice to this issue? The code displayed was 1135, or 135 I think.

Can you tell us what the actual code number was? Any other codes in the ECU?
That will help quite a bit with the diagnosis.

1135 or 135 with the text of air flow monitor and check coolant. Both were checked, the air flow monitor was replaced, the coolant was good.

There is not much we can do with that....P0135 is:
P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Is this the code you mean?
I don't see anything about coolant or air flow monitor in any other codes.

Here is the list and you can tell us which ones you actually got:

You need to do a few things:
1) get an accurate list of all the codes, post back here.
2) find a better certified tech.

Not sure if you have the right code ,But my 00' runner did the same and it turned out to be the MAF sensor being dirty. There's a post somwhere in here on how to clean it, and reset the comp.
