2 tow hooks while keeping the valance

hey has anyone added the 2nd tow hook on a first gen runner but kept the valance?

im just wondering how you guys cut the valance for the new hook.

never done it, but i would think a die grinder would do the trick.... i dont even have a valance anymore, just continually got in the way....

yeah i took it off my old runner, but i wanna keep it on this one. so i wanted to see what it looked like. i planned on using my grinder too.

Ya lost me on that one. I put two tow hooks on both my first gens, and they did not interfere with the valance at all. The stock one doesn't,and the other side is a mirror image so why would the valance be an issue.

I put two on mine and it interfered a little with the valance but I slightly bent it up where they touch.

if you look on the valance, the passenger side is "cut" away a little bit for the tow hook. if it wasnt, the valance would hide the hook. i could probably put the 2nd hook on the drivers side without any cutting to the valance, but i want to be able to see it hook, just like the passenger side

I guess maybe the year matters. The 85s didn't have this problem, nor does the valance I have on the 90 (which I don't think is the 90 valance.)
