2 Skids... $60
Here are some pics of my custom skids that my friend and I built. the front skid is made out of 16 ga. steel, and the t-case skid is made out of 20 ga. aluminum, not quite as strong, but its a lot lighter, and its a hell of a lot better than having nothing there at all.
here you can see I'm missing a bolt in the middle, apparently i stripped it during some point of our trips back and forth fitting the darn thing
Nice reinforcement made from 1/4" square tubing
the grade 8 bolts hang down a bit here, might weld something around each bolt later.
its really nice to know someone who welds, the job may not look 100% professional, but im confident these skids will suit me just fine.

Nice job, although if you're gonna run John Bull, be ready to pound those back into shape. The 11 gauge prototype I have from Schaefer got worked.
It took a good hit on the front right, kinda inboard of the lower control arm,and dented in an 1 1/2" even with the angle iron supports. And the very back of the plate has both corners folded up a good 2". I'll try and take some pics when I pull it off for reshaping.Speaking of which, anyone know any special techniques for getting it back into shape, besides beating the hell out of it w/a BFH? I'm worried about it lining up again once I remove it.
But at least it did its job and nothing else got damaged
Oh yeah, what's w/the name? At first I was like who the hell is that?
