So this morning i went & started my truck 2 warm it up before i left for work it ran for prob a half hr or so i jumped in it and headed to work. well the thing is it never got warm. has anyone experienced this. i turned around and headed back home cause its a 40 mile drive to work and i didnt want to break down. the truck i had before this did something simalur but everytime it would blow a soft plug. well if any one has any info to help me it would be great

 

Where are you that requires you warm your truck up for a half hour? Most Tacoma's will warm up in really cold weather in less than 10 minutes.Maybe you need a new thermostat or there may be something wrong with the heater. Mike

 

I second the above, if the temp gauge never came up, I would probably start by replacing the thermostat, it is most likely stuck open. They're pretty cheap and easy to replace.
