1st time out wheelin... some questions.

Sorry no pics.. I dont have a d-cam... but a lot of questions. I had a great time but decided I actually dont want to lift my '01 tacoma.

I decided Id rather buy an old yota and put some work into it... that way I dont have to worry about wrecking my daily driver or putting body damage on it...

So my questions are pretty simple...

What year 4runners or pickups have:

1. solid axle
2. 22r or 22re

Thanks.

The 1985 toyota 4runner was the last year of the solid front axle and the first year of the 22re. So ideally you should find one of those years, but any 1 gen is pretty cool. Well Good Luck

79-83 P/U had SFA with the 20R and 84 got the 22R. 84-85 4runners had the SFA...but 84 had the 22R and the 85 had the 22RE. After 85 the 4Runner had IFS. The 85 and up P/U had either 22r or the 22RE. I think that is pretty much correct
