my truck is not a 4runner; but is a 4x4 extra cab.
Iam looking for something with more power i have "over built" my toy.
front and rear disc brakes, steel bumper with 9000lbs winch, low shell with
rack over top of shell, on bed. looking for new mod to do,
little brains lots time, lol but really iam a tec for a ford/lincoln dealer.

below it what my engine looks like now v6 gas

below it what i want my new engine diesel to look like, do you think i can "shoe horn it in" ? not so concerned with weight on front suspension.
oversized turson bars and gas shocks added frame railing in front for bull bar-bumper.

below is a 1hz thats a 6 cyl diesel is that what your were talking about ?when you said 1kz-te?? is the 1hz a diffrent engine??

http://toyotadiesel.com/photopost/sh....php?photo=662

you stated "You might consider using a 3.0 liter 1KZ-T/ 1KZ-TE "
every thing i have found looks like a 4 cylinder turbo diesel is that forrect??
like below.

also found "In another post there are the factory part numbers for the LHD 1KZ-TE harnesses. This would be the way to go. No cutting and splicing, plug it into the engine and ECU and drive. If I do another, and these harnesses are under 500.00, theyre worth it IMHO." at link below

well to wrape up my over stated questions i appreciate all help and links i have found here!!!!1

The 1HD-T won't fit on the 4Runner's engine bay.. it's an I-6..and just too heavy...

so the best i can do is a 1KZ-TE ??
