Flat bed conversion - did you sell your bed?

I am contemplating converting my '03 taco to a flat bed for various reasons. If anyone has done this, I wonder if they had success selling the bed to a junk yard or body parts place?

I doubt any wrecking yard will ever buy the bed. I know we cant take in parts at Nix99 because of the potential for stolen parts. You're gunna be hard pressed to find ANY yard or body parts place/shop that would buy anything but a whole vehicle.

best bet if you are set on selling it is to a private indiviual via craigslist, or Ebay.

Never thought of a stolen pick up bed, but I guess it could have been chopped. I'll check around at body shops, if they remove the bed from the vehicle seems a little more legit.

Selling online sounds good too, thanks for the suggestion.
