1988 IFS front wheel bearing help!

I am getting ready to change my front wheel bearings the truck is almost at 148,000 and they are making some noise. Has anyone done it, is it a Sunday afternoon job or a drop it off at the shop and let them do it job! I have replaced wheel bearings on my Saab but it is one large bearing that you press in, not that hard to do. Please let me know what I am getting myself into and any pointers and tips you may have. I searched the board with no luck so I thought I would ask, also where can I get a quality set of bearings or am I stuck going to the stealership! Thanks again, matt

Here is a link to a write-up I've used for cleaning/repacking:

It's not too hard to do. I haven't replaced mine so I don't know about buying bearings.
