Questions on Amsoil SDF34 clearance

This question is for all of you out there running the larger Amsoil SDF34 oil filter. I'm just switching to this filter and I'm wondering if there is a problem with the small coolant hose resting on the top of the filter. Does everyone else have this problem running this filter too? Do I need to wrap the hose so it doesn't melt?

Please advise.

Thanks.

The oil cooler hose should not be touching the filter. If it is loosen the clamps and adjust it. Anyway, you do not have to worry about it melting. In most conditions the oil temp is lower then the coolant temp. The oil temp will rise above the coolant temp if you do extended high speed driving like over 80 MPH.
