Anyone come up with a good alternative ?

Trying to work a deal to get some decent tires at delivery...

...anyone come up with anything that fits and works ?

Thanks

I just ordered some Dueler A/T Revos, 265-70-R17's. It will be a few weeks before I get them but they should fit nicely. I read that the difference between the 65-70 is 1/2 inch and +2MPH@ 60MPH on the speedo.

I'm sure it will screw the onboard range/KM/distance but I guess I'll have to learn to live with it.

I paid $123 each from tirerack.com.

Spooky Woodbert !

I spent some time on the net last night and concluded Revo's fit the bill.

The stupid thing is I have some 265/75/16 Revo's in the garage which are doing me no good at all. I took em off my 99 and they have at best, 10k on them.

Perhaps I should just pick up some 16's and be done with it.

Paul the heat shield is working just fine. I did get a reply from the company stating I did get the correct one. Even the little rubber nubs on the tire have not been affected.

SLC Punk,

I bought them from the Layton Big-O on Main Street. I think I got a good deal as far as price goes. But they did scratch, in one or more places, every wheel. Not something I am that picky about or I would have complained. I don't notice it unless I am washing the wheels. But it is shoddy work to scratch a wheel. I would rather scratch my own wheels on rocks and stuff myself!

I really like my cars tio not have any scratches on them anywhere, includin the wheels, so I usualy stand out ther and watch them as there changing tires, It makes them work better, and watch what there doing.
