10W-7's

Hey all-

Just curious as to your thoughts about installation of my new subs. Gonna put 2 10W's behind the rear seat and will be running them very hard. I guess I'm just curious how much sound deadening and reinforcement will need to be done, as well as adding dynomat and securing the plastic panels to eliminate rattles. Anyone with any input would be much appreciated. Thanks ahead.

Billy

Well although this does not apply to your yota, this was 2 13w7's with 2 JL 1000/1's to each one and there was very little rattle, maybe it was because you couldn't here it over the 161.4db that it produced. Your best bet inpo would be to get your subs and find out where your rattles are going to be and or end up because every vehicle is going to be different.

I got the 10W-7's @ $549 a piece. My buddy works at car toys and ordered them in for me at his price. I have two older orion 1200 amps to run the subs and the rest of my system. And thanks for the pic...that box sure takes up a lot of space.

That score had better be port wars or outlaw cuz there is no way in HELL that was done on a certified A/C mic metering at the dash....

I think I might get rid of the 3 boston PRO10's in favor of one or two 10w7's. My buddy just put two in his santa fe (yeah i know) and it rocked.

No port wars or anything like that, I just metered it to see where it stood. It was at the windshield, "certified" ? but the meter was calabrated before the metering. Take it however you may.

ok i missed the 2 1000.1's PER w7 sorry bout that....lol

But still kinda a high score to say the least, so naturally I'm curious as to the install - did he have a wall?

Sorry about being overly grumpy with my last post, I just got out of a (yelling) fight with dad. I usually go here or termpro to calm down if I'm pissed.
