Question:

What is it gonna cost to put a 1" lift on my 3rd gen? Also what is recommended?

If you just want one inch, a body lift would be the cheapest route. You could also get some PP rear 1" lift coils and add a 3/4-1" of a spacer in the front. Just let us know exactly what you are looking for and everyone has answers...if you want a complete suspension kit, you are gonna have to go 2-2.5" at a minimum - that is about the smallest made. Get back to me.

Well those a good questions.

I want to be able to put slightly bigger tires than my stock ones and also achieve a higher profile. I don't want to go to high because, as you can see in my picture, I have to lift 16' kayaks on and off my rig.

I'm not real concerned about the wheeling aspect as I have very little time to go adventuring.

Cheap, easy to install, and effective. But when I say cheap, Im refering to the $$$ only. Roger makes high quality stuff.

 

Another vote for body lift...

Seems to be what your looking for. Just some extra room and isn't too costly or hard/expensive depending on how you install it.

 

Performance Products 1 inch springs. I pu those and bilsteins on my 99 4Runner. Tires are 2757016 BFG AT KO. I don't remember the price.

As you can see, there are many options...I'd vote for the RB Body Lift as well, but the PP coils would work just as nice.

I'd recommend Performance Products 1" lift springs as well. I have them installed on my '01 4Runner and I gained about 2" of lift out of them. I had absolutely no problems fitting 32" tires. The PP springs give you a bit firmer ride than the stock, but I definitely like it better this way. No more swinging from side to side on sharp turns and no more "suggy behind".

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but I was planning to change my springs to the PP 1inch springs, how do you think the ride will be without blisteins??

Any other recommendations?

 

Hey David-

I ordered my 1" RB body lift Monday. I can let you know how things go. I should be getting the package sometime next week. He was in the process of welding my bumper brackets.

Total with shipping was $178, but 96's are $60 more expensive than anything else.

 

I have the PP springs with stock shocks. No complaints here, I haven't had a chance to compare though. But I like how it rides, its a lot stiffer and I feel like I have more control of it now.
