Thumbs up '05 Tacoma in October Car & Driver

Full road test, pics, specs, etc. Be sure and pick up the issue when it hits the racks (if ya don't subscribe). They liked it - a worthy read.

Another reason to pick the October issue up

I'm waiting for it to hit the racks so I can buy a couple copies.

Sweet truck. C&D really liked it. Man, that thing really scoots too.

I will wait a few years and then scoop up a used one.

Looks to be the closest thing to a 4Runner Pick-up yet. On the same chassis, same V-6 engine with auto 5sp. Dash, seats, steering wheel switches all out of the current 4Runner. Wonder if the front fenders, hood bumper trim and grill will fit the Runner? Hopefully this will encourage the production of more aftermarket accessories.
