Notice "no" amber for the corner/headlight assembly as it's not required in Japan because they use fender mounted turn signals...

Man, the interior of that thing is sweet!! IMO, the Limited is the only one worth buying but it is the most expensive, imagine that. I think the '03 sport version looks like the bastard child of a Highlander and an Avalanche.

They already have a ton of factory options for the Surf. If anyone buys a 4th gen, I would be heading across the Pacific. Check out all the bolt on stuff on the site....Very cool....

TRD exhaust & suspension, Altezza lights, different grills and body kits, a DVD with TV and Nav syatem and a rear view camera tucked under the roof spoiler. Im jealous... Hey...do you think in Japan their big mod is installing corner lights with amber lenses and adding "4 Runner" emblems???

Lucky bastards....makes the 4 Runner look alittle better with the (Jap) factory mods

Any thoughts???

We have to be able to get some of that stuff from them. I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Toyota a Japanese manufacturer? Why couldn't our dealers take an order and build a 4th gen just like that Hilux with all that cool stuff.

Here's a link for some goodies.
Took awhile to find it.
When running the mouse over the language, it shows in English the URLs

Are those HID headlights I see under the spirited version? It's about time Cool tail lenses too! And I like that gas tank cover.

Those Rugged Version stickers/decals gotta go.

I see TRD Japan has already designed a suspension kit ... wonder if it raises or lowers it? (probably some cheap-ass tokico shocks though)

What are these things, anybody know?

I wish Toyota put this much into accessories over here!

I say what the heck is up with that,......they should ship some of that stuff over here so we can use it dammit....i dont see why although it does look kind of expensive we'd find a way to afford it if it was worth it, I don't think we have 1/4 that many goodies provided by toyota, i'm jealous

There has to be some place that sells and ships the Jap accessories here.

Do they have a lot of better accessories for the 3rd generation too?

Man, those color-keyed waterbottles are sweet. I bet those things add another 10hp, at least!

They sure do have the goodies for the 3rd gen. Check this page I put up a while back. I tried getting John @ performance autoworx to import some and never got anywhere.....

Smile JDM Surf goods

Hey Jalaber,

We're expecting another container of Surf goods real soon. Most of my JDM Toyota parts that just came in (NETZ Toyota) are for the Altezza and Aristo. I can keep you posted...for now check out these links to the T-Tune concept Surf. Enjoy!

So J am:

Can you get the Jap (Surf) item in this country?? I wrote to Toyota in Japan about a year or so back and they told me to order through my US dealer. Unfortunately....the dealers I spoke with won't do it.
