01' Runner Missing. HELP!!!

I am a proud owner of an 01' 4runner Sr5 4x4. I love this truck but I am having some issues with it now. I recently put some gas with 10 % ethonol and I am sure they had just filled the tanks there at the station. The gas smelled bad like varnish. I gassed up beyond my better judgement cause I had the kids in the truck and needed to get the Baby to mama and went on home. Well as luck would have it the very next morning the truck started to run terrible. I just chocked it up to be bad gas. I put treatment in it(seafoam) and it didnt clear it up at all. I almost ran it dry and put about 4 gallons of premium reg in it and it still ran badly. I changed the fuel filter and put a whole tank of reg in it along with another bottle of seafoam. Still runs like crap. I changed the plugs , cleaned the throttle body and put a new air filter in it. Still running like crap. what do I do now. Its pretty random. Check engine light is on and my code reads a random missfire on 0,3,5 and 6. Idles fine but I put it in gear and it runs terrible shakes pretty bad at 50mph or around 2grand on tach. Should I be driving it this way? At this point, it can only be either the plug wires, the coil packs, map sensor or mass air flow..... Any suggestions? BTW its not smoking or runnig hot. and no sweet smell of coolant. PLEASE Help! Thanks in advance..

Well, I got 87 views and no replys. I went to the local toyo parts house today and got some plug wires and a coil pack. I replaced the wires and tha seemed to do the trick. Hope this helps someone in the future.
Thanks,

Take the reciets to the gas station and file a complaint to at least see if you can get you money back.

I've had problems with using cheap gas in my 4Runner, so I only use Premium now. The manual says it can handle up to 10% ethanol, but in my experience it doesn't like that stuff in the least.

j-man,

I never stated I was going to use premium gas. I said I was going to use and Ethonal additive when I could not find regular. I have 2 places that I can go locally but when I cant find the regular I'll put in the treatment. Same goes for all of my other equipment.

What is he going to get his money back for?? The gas didnt make the wires go bad??

Yeah--just run regular gas and you will be fine. Its very rare that you will get bad gas and in that case you just have to run it through.

AND--unless this station never sells gas, it takes a while for the gas to go bad
