01-02 4runner climmate control compatible with 99-00?

Does anyone know if this kind of control setup from the 01-02 could be installed on the 99 setup?

I believe that will work. Is that you taking the picture? If so, just take the dash section apart and test it out. If not, I know where the connector is that you would need and I can pick one up for cheap.

do you have the lever control now? thats what I have, i think all the controls on the lever type are mechanical, on the pictures it looks like the 01 unit electrically controls motors to move the different parts, not sure if they are compatible. Its sorta hard to explain, hope you get what i mean

Speaking of the HVAC. I pulled the face plate off to take off the green condoms off of the lights. Now none of the lights work. Sound familiar to anyone?
