Well a few posts down MTL_Runner posted about sparkplugs.com that has some universal ones for $50 bucks. I got my OEM one from the dealer for like 90 and some change.

I picked up one for my 85 22r (carbed, with o2 sensor) for $26 at my local Napa store. I guess it helps though, that I work at my local Napa store :-)

List on it was like $60 so it couldn't retail for more than like $45. Nice high quality Bosch unit.

If you have a second generation then they are free. Some of the handbooks say that they will be replaced by the dealer with parts and labor covered. I found out about this a week after paying to have it replaced.

I forget what page, but I think it is in the maintenance section of your owners manual. It clearly states that the dealer will install a new one free. It has been talked about it in this group before, but without being able to search it makes it a bit hard to find. Check you owners manual. People in this group have done it. Some dealers claim they wont do it, but have them call the factory and do not let them turn you down!!!

I think that offer is only good up to 80,000 miles.

Yeah that is only good for ~80k miles depending on the people at the dealer you may be able to do it with a little more than that but its doubtful. Mine wouldn't let me seeing as how I had around 127k at the time I replaced it.

Good luck man!

Sounds like TOR is going to be your best bet with that price...depending in the sales tax and suggested price at your local dealer.

Let us know how it goes man!
