yotamonsta's 1990 Pickup Build-Up Thread

Alright i have ordered my TG 5 inch sas kit yesterday for my 1990 toyota pickup. It already has a lift with 37s but like most say it was more of a mall crawler and mudder, now im switching it over to the dark side, oh and it going to be here wed or thurs(hopefully).I am running 37s with 5.29 and lockrite in front and rear...I went on ahead and started cutting out my front end and getting it all cleaned up....Here are a few pics of the progress!!

What did you use to cut everything off? Torch or plasma?

What gearing is in that front diff? You could probably sell it if it has a desireable gear ratio...

im not real sure you would have to reserch it...all i know is the 84 and 85 yota axle are best for the swap....alos alot of people swap in chevys but unless your running huge tire with motor swap more hp i wouldnt think you would break these!!!!

Im not real sure which side the drop is on on a land crusier if it on the right then im sure you could make it work but probally be alot more work.

unless you wanna 4 link it you have to burn on some spring purches..as the LC's are coilspring i think?, and their not really better i think their wider tho? much easier to find an eairly 80's axle n swap er in...

coils are better, no axle wrap, nice articulation. problem is that they are expensive and take time to get tuned right. for simplicity and practicality leafs are a better way to go. they are easyer to insrall and work damn good

oyah i forgot dope you got thr sas kit wooot

i got a 93 4runner and since it has coils in the rear i would try to do the front sas with coils. coils look better but ur right they are expensive and its not easy to do.

I got alot done today, one of my buddy came over and helped me do some stuff. Also got some pics for everyone!!!

Here is a pic of my front hanger Tacked up!!

Here is the front hanger welded all the way out. Where there is not weld on front on the cross member i welded down the back for the maximum support!!!

Pic of the motor mount plate welded all the way around i ended up filling the bolt holes from the torsion bars!!! Oh and yes the torion bar is comeing out Haha

Side shot with the first spring in!!!

My dog was trying to learn how to do a SAS!!!

Also got the gusset welded on and looking nice!!!
Today i got both spring on, and front axle gussets welded on. Tom im going to put my axle back together if i can get my parts cleaned!!!! I will take more pic tom!!!
Let me know what yal think or have any input!!!!!!
