the fluid that came out was dark, but it's been in there about a year or so. Wheel cyls are brand new. Shoes and Pads only a few months old (second set in that year) Rotors as new as the rest of the system. Only thing I never replaced or turned for that matter was the drums. Yeah shoot me now. lol.

Anyway. The way I am bleeding them is a homemade vacuum setup. Kinda like a catch can deal. Hard to tell if I am drawing all the air out or not because the hose I am using doesn't quite fit my bleeder screws. FYI shoulda got 1/4" clear tube and not 3/16.

Wont have money till Wed Jerry. And I got like 1/8 of a tank of gas an about $1.50 in cash.

Found the problem with me still "over heating". Bottom half of radiator on the inside. Yeah I think I need another pressure wash. LMAO.

Onto the brake issue.

Yeah I didn't need that bleeder screw anyway.

My handy dandy homemade one man "power bleeder"

This is what the fluid in the lines looked like after only about a year in the lines.

New Master Cyl coming soon.

New master cyl on, brakes bled and still pedal catches low unless I pump with vehicle running. Would a small vacuum leak in the booster cause a soft/low pedal on first pump? grrrrrrrr.

My idle does jump slightly and back down during brake pedal travel. But thought that should cause a hard not soft pedal. Kinda confused here. lol.

Hmmmm, .... well, the Booster COULD be, simply, getting worse(if it IS indeed leaking vacuum). Maybe after adding the pressure of a lotsa new goodies in the brake dept.... now the Master, it's just wanting to tear a lil more? Just guessing.... Did you do the booster test? (Pretty sure the idle thing is part of that test).... With a master you're sure is good... I think pumping while running, then holding it depressed, should cause it to slowly head toward the floor when it's a booster loosing vacuum/making things a lil soft.

Not sure if 'catching low' would be more of an 'adjustment' of master adjustment screw, rather than the booster. BUT, since you've done a brake swap(sorry, I can't remember off the top of my head.... Tacoma Master and booster?)... maybe it's just a clearance thing on the 'catching low' portion?

OR, maybe that 'adjustment' at some point pushed the booster to a point where it is pushing the diaphragm past it's comfy limit? lol.

Do you still have the check valve in there? Is it possible it collapsed and isn't allowing the 'vacuum assist' that you're needing?

Sorry man, just throwing it out there to see if it sparks something.

Yayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! I think I gots my brake pedal back. Gotta test drive it yet, can't till I fix this damn tire that I have "issues" with the bead and mud and etc etc in it. But feels much better now. Musta been air in the front pressure sensing line going to the LSPV. Took the line off bled it that way. I am sure there is still a bit of air in there but it's 98% better now while running and sitting still at least.

Today is out Jerry. No gas. Tomorrow I think is good.

It's hard for me to comment on the power added from the Weber as it was added shortly after a full rebuild. The adapter plate that comes with every kit available is junk. Buy the kit and trash the adapter and get the 1-piece adapter that trans-dapt makes or possibly the LCEngineering spiral adapter. Reason being the two piece is almost impossible to keep from getting air leaks in it.

If you running 35's and factory 4.10 gears, your best bet is to find yourself at least a 4.88 gear set for the truck. Whether it be ones from a 4runner or have ring and pinions put into your current ones. 5.29's are preferred though with a manual trans. It might seem expensive. But the amount of cash you'd have to dump into the engine power wise to turn those tires is gonna round out to be about the same amount of dough.

today is out for me as well.

tomorrow looks OK...little guy will probably be home from school tomorrow...we will see.

NO, i did not order anything. may pull it in the garage again today and see if i can get that stuff off....if i can, i will check with autozone to see if they have that caliper. i imagine (tell me if i am wrong) i can just unload my caliper into the new caliper, since the pads look substantial and i had no brake issue before that. if that indeed is the case, i just have to worry about getting my caliper off, new one on and brake fluid.
