hmmm, semi transparent, so doing it with just that isn't gonna work, I wonder though if the last 1 or two coats over the black would work. I think there is one of these stores down towards the Tractor Supply Stores. Maybe one on Coal Street as well. I will have to call em up and see if they have it.

thanks Jerry, sometimes your crazy ideas work out I guess. haha. But can't tell the girlfriend I spent nearly $8.00 on 1 can of spray paint haha.
You do know though that that "pink" paint you used on my skid plate under the gloss black is gonna wind up polka dotting it when it gets bashed against rock and stuff right? lmao.

Just researching this a little bit: Gonna assume the rustoleum is comparable to the krylon

In 2003 Krylon started marketing a reflective clear coat paint called Reflect-A-Lite in their industrial product line. It is a clear reflective coating that uses a glass sphere technology and can be applied without obscuring the original color.
If you do an internet search you will find serveral supply houses that sell it by the case of 12. The stuff goes for about $18/can. I found a supplier that sells it by the can - www.rshughes.com
Repaint the wheels either silver (argent) or black and overcoat them with the Reflect-A-Lite. The Reflect-A-Lite can be overcoated with a matte clear finish to knock down the gloss and reproduce the original look.

EDIT "Only available via Ship-to-Store" Not sure if they are gonna have it in stock.
EDIT 2: nope got to order it if i do by Sat, I can have it Tuesday.

home depot lists it on their website but only as a 6pack. GOt to run up that way anyway, I will stop in there.

ok after come careful measurements, I got the stencil centered and marked off so I can put it back down in the same place after I tape it up with some duck tape. Yes I took over the kids play area. lol.
Oh and pretty much the last chance, I did spell it correctly right? haha.
I decided to tape off the whole width of the board to prevent overspray, by doing this I had to remark where the centerines were and lay the stencil down again. (measure twice cut once right? lol). Board is now duck taped and the stencil is taped over the duck tape with scotch tape on the entire edge of the paper. The rest of the exposed board I can lay a towel down or something for the rest of the overspray.
I decided to do it this way instead of outlining the duck tape by itself. Razer blade should go right through this stuff so no worries.
Note to self: when putting duck tape on wood wear glove to prevent yourself from getting splinter.
